All In On One

Honoring the legacy. Reinforcing the future.

You built it brick by brick — over decades, maybe generations. It deserves a buyer whose attention isn't divided. We're two partners buying one business and spending the rest of our working lives making it stronger.

Who We Are

Two of us. All of it. For the long haul.

Tuckpoint Partners is Mike Thompson and Alec Strull. We're partners to each other, and we intend to be partners to the business we buy. We take our name from the mason's craft of renewing the mortar in old brickwork — strengthening what one generation built so it stands for the next. Masons don't wait for a wall to fail; they repoint sound brickwork so it never does. We invest the same way: not in businesses that need rescuing, but in strong companies worth keeping strong. We're not building a portfolio. We're searching for a single business — one company we'll pour our own capital, time, and energy into for the long haul. Nobody is forcing us to sell in five years, no committee gets a vote on your company, and no other business is competing for our attention: when we find the right one, it gets everything we have.

Investment Focus

The one we're looking for

We're looking for one U.S. business — likely from a retiring founder or a family passing the company to its next generation — with roughly $500K to $2M in annual earnings. Because we can only choose one, we're deliberate: if we're not the right fit for your business, we'll tell you quickly and honestly. What matters most to us is an owner who cares about their people and their legacy as much as the price, because this is the only company we'll buy — we measure success in decades, not deals.

What Sets Us Apart

The Tuckpoint Difference

01

Transparency

A craftsman shows you every joint. No surprises — we believe open, honest communication is the mortar of every enduring partnership.

02

Operational Expertise

We work where the bricks meet. We're in the shop, not just the boardroom — hands-on help for you and your team that drives real, lasting results.

03

Servant Leaders

We work for the company we partner with, not the other way around. We honor what you built and reinforce it — one enduring legacy, further strengthened together.

A note from us

Why we're doing this

We've spent our careers around businesses of every size, and the ones we admire most were never the biggest. They were the ones where the owner had the courage to start something from nothing — an idea on a piece of paper, selling door to door, working nights and weekends to make it work — or the resolve to inherit it and carry it forward. They walk the shop floor, know every employee's name, and have kept customers coming back for decades.

We started Tuckpoint to buy one business like that — not ten, one — and to give it everything we have. If you've spent your life building a company like this and you're starting to think about what comes next, we'd genuinely love to talk. No pitch, no pressure — just a conversation between people who care about the same things.

Our operating principle is simple, and we came by it the way most people do — from watching people we admired: do the right thing, always.
